Something Old, Something New

This blog will be a little less professional, but it's only in an effort to connect more to anyone who is reading. Still, you've been warned, my friend.

I think my art has probably changed since I have started putting together some kind of portfolio.

Scratch that. People keep telling me I need to be a little more confident in my work, so...

"My art has definitely changed since I have started putting together a portfolio." There, that's better.

It's a little strange looking back on some of my art, because there are at least a few instances in which I question myself as to what I might have been thinking. Maybe that's the reason I love making it. It's a psychological study of my own mind as well as a way to make myself feel a little more present in this world.

I have kind of fallen off the wagon with my work these days, but little goals are making it easier to accomplish what I want to get done. However, after surviving in the...er..."wild" of Philadelphia for the past three or so weeks, I have yet to make it to an art supply store. The closest one I know of is near Center City. This is making it infinitely harder to get things accomplished, but at the same time I work well under pressure. Let's just hope I don't get squashed.

At the moment, I am working on a small series having to do with birds as a sort of spin-off of two earlier pieces I've done.
